National award makes it special fifth birthday for The Lavender Rooms The Lavender Rooms

BEAUTY SALON The Lavender Rooms has marked its fifth birthday with a national award. Founders Beckie Kelling and Sonya Zabiela launched their salon in 2007, working with French skin care range Decleor.

‘We chose Decleor rather than any other skin care range that we had worked with before as it was a firm favourite with all our team,’ said Miss Kelling.

The salon was accredited by Decleor Beauty Salon on the Year title for 2012 ‘was a real honour.’ It will be presented next month at a ceremony in London.

All 900 Decleor salons in the UK were able to enter the awards, which recognise those who make a real difference to the industry and encourge their further development.

The Lavender Rooms, situated in the grounds of the Fleur du Jardin Hotel in King’s Mills, had to submit a presentation, which included a personal statement and details of how the salon is run and marketed’ and its philosophy.

‘We see the award as a huge thank you to our staff, and to our clients, for their loyalty to the salon and Decleor,’ said Miss Kelling.

‘As a team of five, we are all passionate and we wouldn’t be anywhere without the loyalty of our clients so this award is as much for them as it is for us.

‘The awards are a sign of excellence and recognition that we feel we, and our team, have earned for the loyalty and passion that we give to Decleor and share with our clients.’
